Elliot Davies

Journalist & software engineer

Hello! I'm a developer at The Times of London, working on interactive content and newsroom tools.

Previously I studied computer science at the University of St Andrews, from where I graduated in July 2015.

I also worked extensively in and around student media. I was the development officer for the Student Publication Association, a national body for student newspapers and magazines in the UK, and I wrote a weekly column for The Independent to showcase original reporting by student papers.

From November 2013 to September 2014 I was editor of The Saint, St Andrews' independent student newspaper. Before that I spent time as the paper's deputy editor and web editor.

I've also worked at Bubble TV, St Andrews' student TV station, and I was an editorial assistant for Ones To Watch until it closed down in October 2013.

Way back in February 2011 I founded The Student Review, an online student newspaper independent of any particular institution. I was its editor for two years, until February 2013.

While a student I completed work experience at The Times, The Independent, The York Press and The Courier.
